Rosemarie Chiarlone

Bio

Rosemarie Chiarlone studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Florida International University and received a BFA and a Master’s degree in the arts. Through her work, she seeks to explore the “physical and psychological boundaries of human connection, creating works which compromise multifaceted matters addressing gender, societal, and political contexts.” Chiarlone accomplishes this through creating works on paper, hand-made books, photo and video-based work, installations, and sculpture. During her career, Chiarlone has received many awards, recognitions, and grants for her work which has been exhibited at museums and galleries across the United States and internationally. Rosemarie Chiarlone currently lives and works in Miami, Florida.
